From the Launcher window on the Macintosh
desktop, click on the "Adobe
PhotoDeluxe" icon to start the program.

On the left of the screen, click on the blue
"On Your Own"
button.

On the left of the screen, click on the "Get
Photo"
button. A tabbed banner appears with choices for importing photos.

Choose the "Scan Photo" button.

When the "Select Camera or Scanner" dialog
box appears, click
the down arrow to select the scanner type of
"Silverscan...".
Click the "OK" button.

A scanner dialog box appears. Place your image on the
scanner glass face
down with the top right corner aligned at the top right coner of the
scanner
glass. Close the cover. Click the "Preview" button to
get
a quick scan to view.

Set the resolution to "100". Place the
mouse over the doted
line surrounding the image. This dashed outline represents the part of
the
image that will be scanned. To enlarge or crop your image, put your mouse
cursor over the line. When the cursor changes shape, press down on the
mouse
button and drag the line left/right or up/down. |

When you have selected the portion of the image you want
to scan, click
the "Acquire" button. |

When the image appears in a new window, click on the
"Modify"
button to get to the modification tools. Select the tab you want like
"Quality"
to adjust the brightness/contrast or "Size" to adjust
the
size and dimensions of the image.

To save the image, pull down the "File"
menu and choose
"Export". Select the file type you want to export the
image
as, name the file, and select where it should be stored. |
